By far one of the best italian restaurants in Miami. Great food -great atmosphere ! My go to place . R. Stern

I was recommended to come to this restaurant by my family, so I expected the experience was going to be great. My first impression of the restaurant was that it was small and noisy. We were greeted by our server a few minutes after and his attitude was kind of strange. He then took our order (not writing anything down) after the third order he had already forgotten mine. Our food came, I ordered a filet mignon medium (it was more like medium done close to well done), my boyfriend really like his veal, and my mom her sea bass. The server never came to our table to check on how we liked our food or to refill our wine. After bringing the check, he waited my my side until I gave him my form of payment, which I thought it was very rude and inappropriate. Overall, I was not really happy with this experience. Not sure I would give it another try.

Sat at the back of the bar which has a very elegant old world charm. Lots of guys wearing guayaberas and drinking rum. I ordered the Bronzino without the muscles and sauce. They charged me the same, but it was expertly prepared and delicious. My companion ordered the cod which he described as excellent. Freshly popped bottle of proseco and they allowed me to linger for hours talking. Which is why I noticed many of the people who were there when I arrived still at their tables. Hard to imagine this was a Wednesday at 2:00 pm and not a Saturday night. A staple of the Gables for decades and I can see why.

Great traditional Italian restaurant in coral gables. You can't go wrong with the pasta in this restaurant. Lots of history too.

The first thing that I noticed walking in is the lack of racial diversity in the staff. They are all male latinos. I would implore this business to hire more women and to work on their racial diversity. The next thing I noticed is the beautiful decor with the lovely glass sculptures on the walls. The lentil soup was perfectly seasoned in a chicken broth with an infusion of red wine. I could eat this soup everyday. The Caesar salad was crisp and fresh with homemade croutons and sardines. The chicken parmasean was expertly prepared pounded as flat as a sheet of paper and plenty of cheese. The pasta was perfectly cooked with the lovely marinara sauce that was perfectly seasoned.

Always my families go-to Italian restaurant in Coral Gables. This place can get packed so it's best to make a reservation. They have valet, street metered parking and a metered lot next door. Outside dining and indoor although I prefer indoor since they have a beautiful display of Chihuly glass. The owners and staff are always courteous and attentive, and the food is never below top notch.

Balsamic shrimp all day not on the menu I've been coming since I was a baby the Cesar salad is great and the Vitello tonnato is great but it's a seasonal dish..... Coral gables #1

This place is a family favorite. Excellent service, food, and overall experience. The owner is always there to greet you and ensure a top dining experience. He knows his clientele and has a loyal following. The waiters are also friendly and long time employees. The decor is authentic and tasteful modern Italian. They are always willing to customize menu offerings. If you want a side of pasta with your steak they can make it happen. Furthermore the prices are very reasonable considering the superior food quality. I am honestly surprised that he has not raised prices when the other places around are higher priced for lower quality food (I.e. randazzos). This is a great place for dinner with family, friends, clients, business associates, or a romantic date. The profiteroles for desert are a must!!!

Staple in Coral Gables. Went there for lunch today and once again it didn't disappoint. Started off with the mozzarella caprese and it was fresh and delicious. Shared the lobster ravioli (my favorite) and the seafood linguini. All of their ravioli dishes are excellent but the lobster one is my favorite. Seafood was fresh and good quality, pasta was cooked perfectly, sauce was a bit oily but still light and flavorful. The profiteroles are a must for dessert!!! Great wine selection as well! Highly recommend if you are in the gables.

Went for a graduation dinner celebration with very high hopes. I have always heard great things about this place and was anxious to try it. We started with a penne pasta in a red sauce which tasted like cafeteria food at best. The salad was pretty standard, certainly nothing special. The entree was a snapper with a red sauce with capers and olives. The fish was over cooked but the flavor wasn't bad. Overall I found the place to be super tacky, overcrowded and serves mediocre food. Don't waste your money and try some real Italian food somewhere else.

I've come here for several special and non-special occasions... And I love it. There is a continuity of service and quality that is never lacking. Really, coming here will make you celebrate any day you're breathing. First, you are greeted by a very warm host who I'm pretty certain has been there for years. Once you are seated you experience a tradition of excellent service. I know, it may be a foreign term for some... But these servers are actually trained well and care about their job. They will explain everything, alter any dish and are just so extremely attentive (but not annoying). Everyone working there knows to move to the side when a guest is walking to or from their table. Yeah, it's old school and I love it. Plus, the food is just so good. It's simple and elegant, great quality and worth every. cent. I got the swordfish with white wine sauce and double veggie, it was so light and delicious. Dessert was a pear tart and it was divine. Just to bring it home-- there's a table full of Latin men, they sit outside drinking and smoking cigars. Every time I've been here they are here eating dinner. These dudes must come 4+ times a week. There is something that keeps them coming back... Come out and see what it is.

Good food, good service, clean bathrooms. I am told that it is pricey, but I went god a work function and my meal was paid by my boss. So I don't know if the prices. It did appear high end by the clientele --suits and fancy cars. I had the salmon and pasta...salmon was seasoned well, pasta was a bit over cooked - but I think that had more to do with our lunch party starting late. It is an easy place to find in the Gables. One star removed because there isn't free parking. They do offer valet service for $7, use it; the lot parking will cost you $3 for 30minutes.

Came for lunch today with a group. The ambience is okay. The front room is crowded and loud. Fortunately we were in the back room, which wasn't. I ordered the Veal Scaloppini Boscaiola. It comes with soup or salad. I asked for the Caesar Salad. The flavors were good, but the lunch price at $20.00 is about 50% higher than it should be for what you get. The service was good until the end. I get the bill and they charged $7.50 for my salad. He said that only the house salad is included. First of all he didn't tell me it was extra when I ordered. Secondly, the cost of the house salad is $7.50 on the menu and so is the Caesar, so shouldn't it be a wash. Needless to say the tip was $7.50 less than it would have been if he had taken the charge off, which he refused. I wouldn't recommend going unless you like overpaying for just average meals.

Came here recently for a work related event...Had high hopes but this place fell a little short in my opinion. I chose to valet to save myself the hassle and as I stepped out of my car I braced myself for the group of older men sitting outside as I had read in the reviews. Let's just say the looks and comments as I walked inside could have been kept to themselves. Nothing but a bunch of viejos verdes checking people out- this caused the first star to be knocked off... Still with hopes of a good dinner I proceeded to join await to see how the service and the food was. But first let me take a minute to talk about the place itself- old, dingy and incredibly outdated- could really use a little pick me up especially that roof. Looks like its about to cave in. Service was ok, despite the fact that the servers could not keep it down as our speaker struggled to keep everyone's attention. It was inconsistent. I had to ask for refills as they would skip or forget some of us, they switched the orders and for the main course they forgot to serve some of us the side dishes and just placed them on the table. This is why I took off the second star. The food? your typical Italian dishes, quite frankly they were a little outdated as well. Italian cuisine is so vast and diverse.. they could use some new things to change it up. I had the veal and a penne pasta. Nothing too exciting at all. Doubt I will be coming back here unless I know that major changes have been done.

I came here a few weeks ago for a work dinner, and I have to say that the experience was great. The food I tried here was overall excellent: *Beef Carpaccio - very good, although I've had better. *Sea Bass Carpaccio (I believe it was Sea Bass, and I think a special that evening) - if this is available, order it! It was melt in your mouth good, and something pretty that I don't think I've ever seen offered elsewhere *Black Risotto - delicious, perfectly cooked, also an interesting dish you don't often see. We also had dessert, but I wasn't so impressed here - I honestly don't even remember what it was. The service was very attentive and informed, and for the quality of the food I felt the prices were very reasonable (Less than $15 for apps, and less than $30 for most entrees). They do have valet, but it's easier (and cheaper) to park in the neighboring public lot. One thing to note is that the place is a bit stuffy. It's more of a quiet place that seems to attract somewhat of an older clientele.

I brought my mother here for her birthday and I was very impressed. After many ill-fated attempts to find decent Italian food around Coral Gables, I was delighted to find a restaurant with genuine Italian cooking. The moment I saw four different veal dishes on the menu, I knew that this was my kind of place. We had sausage-stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and split a gargantuan Veal Milanese for our dinner. For my mother's birthday, the waiters brought out some profiteroles doused in chocolate sauce and had decorated the plate with her name. The service staff were really sweet and very attentive. I will be returning very soon!

The food is subpar, the restaurant is noisy and the waiters upsell the wine and desserts. Wines by the glass are not listed anywhere but the helpful waiter ensured that I paid $20 for a glass of red wine that was straight out of the Monty Python Australian Table Wine sketch with a bouquet like an aborigines armpit and a kick like a mule. The branzino was so drenched in butter you could barely find it. We went back to Cafe Abbrazzi because of fond memories of meals gone by but sometimes you just can't go home again.

Came here for M and DK's rehearsal dinner. It held a place in M and P-Dog's hearts cause they also did prom dindin there. Tres high school? Heck no. This place was shockingly good. The best damned calamari I've ever had. Seriously. Way better than anything out of New England. The evening itself was all sorts of lovely because two people I love very much were that much closer to getting married, but to add to this warm feeling was ample free flowing wine that made me even warmer on the inside. Seriously, I'd take a sip and before I finished talking to the person next to me, the glass was magically replenished. The night went without a hitch, and was not only fun and memorable, but equally delicious. Brava!

Awesome appetizers but average entrees for the price. Came here on their 25th anniversary so the price per person was $25. If it was that price each night, I would give it 5 & a halve stars.

My wife made the reservation a few days before and requested a quiet table in a corner to help celebrate my 55th bday. When we got to the restaurant, they knew it was my bday, and had set up a nice balloon over the seat in a corner table. Service from entering to leaving was outstanding. Lucho took care of us at our table and his assistants were constantly roving around us to make sure we were good (water, bread, drinks, etc.). All our food ordered was simply fantastic. The pasta is excellent, the sea bass wonderful and I ordered a veal parmagianna (not on menu) and they accommodated my request. It was also extremely delicious!! The meal ended with a nice bday dessert and they sang to the old man (me). I'll be back soon and often!!! Thanks Caffe Abbracci!!!

Caffe Abbracci came strongly recommended to my parents while they were visiting the area. We had an amazing time and the food and service was fantastic. I'm vegetarian and still found plenty to eat. I ordered the Risotto with Porcini Mushrooms and it was delicious. Can't wait to go back.

I took my wife here tonight to have a drink with friends. Some wine was spilled on my wife by someone, and the owner of the restaurant took the time to personally contact us to make sure everything was ok. That kind of personal service us greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have eaten here many times, many times the experience has been nothing less than wonderful. It is loud, people tend to be loud when enjoying themselves with food and drink. And the food, always good. Unfortunately, last time we dined there, our waiter was so poor, he ruined the experience, and with great food, that's hard to accomplish, but he did. Will I go back, you bet, and if I spot that waiter coming to my table I will ask to be moved, even if it's to the kitchen.

My boyfriend's family loves this place and has taken me here a few times. Knowing I was raised Italian in New York City, lived in Italy, they were confident that Caffee Abbracci would live up to my expectations. The owner always comes out and greets us, either my boyfriend's family comes here way too often or that's the way of italian hospitality. Decor is a bit gaudy and dated- something out of the movie Goodfellas but hey, its Miami. What matters most is the food so let's get to it! I like to start with the Carpaccio. I love meat and rare and RAW! (MOOO!) great portion spread over the plate with fresh lemon juice, parmesean shavings, arugula, and capers. Just like nonna makes yum! And yes, I almost always fall for their black lobster ravioli. It's their best dish. Generous serving of Raviolis jampacked with lobster meat and their creamy sauce. yum! For dessert, I've had their lava cake (because I love lava cake), Berries with Marsala Zabajon (break the basket to get to the dessert's serving of fresh berries and sweet zabajon sauce that accomplishes being tasty without being heavy/overpowering. trust me I've seen it done elsewhere). They have a cookbook but I know I can just call my momma or nonna if I need a recipe for something that hasn't already been drilled into me.

My husband I graduated from UM several years ago. Abrracci was the place we would come for special occasions because of the proximity to campus and the top quality food and service. On a recent trip back to Miami, we decided to dine at Abrracci for old time's sake. The quality is just as good as we remembered and the service is still top notch. If you go be sure to order the Tortellini Tatiana, by far the best thing on the menu.

I came in here last night with my partner to celebrate an anniversary and I have to say I was NOT HAPPY AT ALL. First of all, our waiter didn't speak any English so I had to translate everything last night. Well, I guess it wasn't that bad since he BARELY came to our table. So we ordered our wine, then our appetizers. The wine was a bad idea! Since the staff consist of only men they would constantly come to our table and pour our wine. How nice right?! WRONG. I overheard a couple waiters talking about my partner and I, and I did not feel too comfortable.I felt like I was in a MEAT MARKET!!!!! Appetizer hits the table and it is DELICIOUS. Though, our waiter didn't come back to check on us. I needed a couple of things but he was nowhere to be found. Our waiter then proceeded to take our food order, I ordered the Red Snapper. Now, I have been in the business for 3 years and when I ordered a snapper he just said OK. Hmm, I was the one that had to ask what side it came with and then he said "Well you get to choose one." So if I didn't ask what would I have gotten? The food WAS AMAZING. I will give it that. As a special little something, when dinner was over the brought out a dessert with a candle which I thought was sweet. The dessert was delicious until we found FRUIT FLIES INSIDE the dessert. I immediately brought it to our waiter's attention and he apologized and took it back. The manager never came to the table to apologize, NOTHING. We got our check and left. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS ESTBLISHMENT. That was the most awful night and it's not like they didn't know it was a special occasion. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because the food is actually really good. I ate everything! Other than that? You will never catch me here again and I will not neglect to share my experience with others here.

Very good Italian food. We started out with appetizers including calamari, mushrooms and mozzarella with tomato. Service was excellent. For the main course, I had the Branzino special which had a very subtle wine reduction along with leeks and capers. Very tasty and tender fish. My wife had the spinach ravioli which was plentiful and tasty. I also highly recommend the desserts if you still have room.

Mediocre Italian restaurant, when it comes to the food. Interesting scene with fancy cars and dressed up older crowd. Good service and wine list (almost all Italian choices). The food, as I mentioned, leaves a lot to be desired. Pasta was not al dente and the sauces were tasteless. The bread is very low quality, shameful. I give the place 3 stars instead of 2 only because of the fantastic deserts! They were the only great part of the meal. Had not been here in a decade, nothing changed, will be another decade before going back.

Italian food at its best! Had the "Katerina" (Stuffed Ravioli with Spinach and (I can't remember) cheese on pink sauce. Perfect amount, perfect taste, perfect heat. Loved it!! My parents came to visit Miami and mentioned this place to have dinner. They both have eaten here before, and before is before I was born. My mother had a flashback and my father talked great stories about grandpa when he ate here. I felt I was hearing my father's version of the movie "Ratatouille." On that note, this restaurant is a classic for my parents and since they keep coming back, so will I.

Nice venue, with great and attentive staff who make you feel welcome. Food is good but not overwhelming considering cost. Caprese salad was nothing special, beef capriccio was excellent. The veal dishes were good but short of great. The chicken dish was probably the best bang for the buck Pasta carbonara was tasty but unremarkable with overcooked pasta. Chianti by the glass was remarkably good. Parking is problematic as the lot next to the restaurant has very narrow parking spaces. It seems to me that the general level of Italian food has been declining and its not just here. I have had some excellent food here in the not so distant past. The outstanding staff and service and the excellent deserts get 5 stars but the food is really only 3 stars at the price level.

This is what I call a classic Italian Miami restaurant. I am fan and a frequent eater. You can't go wrong with any pat or entree. It's always good. When I don't eat pasta, I love the Veal or Branzino. The owner used to run this place hands on. Staff is pretty nice.

When it comes to italian restaurants i love this one ! restaurants either stand out and make the world revolve around you or they sit back and be content with being in second place. When I sat down and opened up the menu, I was a little overwhelmed at the sheer volume of items on the menu, chicken, fish, and meats are all organized very well, I have had the Mediterranean Branzino fish ! My favorite one They have some of the best bruschetta I've had in quite some time. The bread was wonderfully crispy and the tomatoes were perfectly sweet. Not too few, not too many. Along side the bruschetta was a loaf of bread... I suppose since it's Italian cuisine, you need bread, but the bruschetta handles that marvelously. I ordered the Risotto with asparagus I've got a secret passion for risotto right now. Some might call it an addiction. Is it a phase? Maybe. I'll just enjoy it for now. It had a creamy smooth consistency and full of flavor. My empty plate says a lot. I didn't get to try the desserts, but I saw many of them fly by to other tables. Might be worth a try on the next visit. Quick noteworthy factoid: Everyone working was flying around like whirling dervishes! It's a miracle I only heard one glass drop in the time because of the sheer speed everyone is running. Bottom Line: Home style Italian cuisine that you can't go wrong with.

A group of us stopped in for a quick bite a few weeks ago. This is definitely what I like to call a bourgeois establishment. Not typically my cup of tea but everyone likes to be a little fancy every once in a while. The girls and I were not in the mood for a heavy meal since we in more of a party mood. We decided to split a Caprese Salad. (Hence the small portion in the photo.) My friends' date recommended a Balsamic reduction rather than regular Balsamic Vinegar. This was a fantastic suggestion! Not much else to say about the Caprese Salad. The tomato, mozzarella and basil were quite fresh. The Wild Mushroom & Grilled Polenta appetizer was oh-so-tasty! That mushroom sauce was to die for! The savory mushrooms tasted fresh and complemented the grilled polenta nicely. A friend ordered the Veal and I couldn't help but wonder whether the ENTIRE BABY COW was on his plate! Whoa! It was large & in charge. It was a breaded Veal steak with thin & crispy fries. He let us try a bite and I must admit, it was quite tasty. We also enjoyed a bottle of Prosecco with dinner which was lovely. The ambiance in the restaurant was dim, quiet & peaceful. This is definitely not a place that I would frequent, but for a change of pace, it was nice. The service was spectacular and this is most certainly a white linen tablecloth type of place. Caffe Abbracci can put quite a dent in your wallet so come prepared! My only complaint was that the tables are a tad too close to one another for comfort, IMO. I mean, this is taking "intimate" to a whole 'nother level! Overall, a nice place for a fancy schmancy dinner. Will I ever become a regular here? No way. But I may consider coming back with the babes.

Caffe Abbracci is a terrfic Italian restaurant in the heart of Coral Gables. While the food is excellent, its standout feature is the staff and the owner. Whether you are a first timer or regular, Nino and his staff make you feel welcome. It is definitely on our rota. Miami, the Beach and Coral Gables are blessed with great eating establishments. Most should take lessons from the Caffe Abbracci staff on how to treat patrons. That advice especially is relevant for the Beach restaurants.

The food was not as good as I'd expected. The sauces on the ravioli were crusted as if they'd been sitting under the heat lamp for a while and everything is overpriced for what you get. I think this place used to be the "PLACE" but come on, you've got to keep up with your competition! The food wasn't bad but it wasn't anything I'd go back for. The service was good. There were always at least 3 people watching us the whole time making sure we had everything we could want.

Quick tips: Delicious authentic Italian food. Veg - Agnolotti Katrina. Cute and trendy ambiance. Great for a date. Valet parking. It is pricy though, but so worth it for the taste! Food: The Agnolotti Katrina is ravioli with spinach and ricotta cheese filling and pink sauce was so good! A little pricy at $17 but so worth it! I thought pink sauce sounded a little weird, but by the end of the night my boyfriend and cousin were stealing off my plate. The Whole Wheat Linguine without the sausage seems like a heathy choice, but it lacked in flavor. I'd rather get the Katrina and get my exercise on the next morning. The calamari was also delicious with a light cocktail sauce. The glass of their Chianti Classico was a nice pairing. Service: Great service. Very attentive the entire night. Ambiance: I would dress up a little. Despite the fact that we came in with casual clothing, they were still so accomodating and nice, but I felt a little uncomfortable. Take a minute to notice the beautiful glasswork around the restaurant, especially the chandelier in the middle of the dining room.

I remember back in the day, years ago, the food was outstanding. What a disappointment when I had lunch here recently. Everything was hit or miss. Love the classic Caesar salad, I tried one of the specials which was ok, and desserts are still pretty good. But since everyone at my table ordered pasta, I was put off that we all had the same pinkish sauce. My lasagna was dry and ordinary and the beef carpaccio was under seasoned. And honestly the menu items (at least for lunch) were kinda boring. I know most people want to see something familiar but seriously such an establishment can take some risks with Italian food. When I went to Italy, I had rabbit with olives, gnocchi in broth, porcini mushrooms, and yes, lasagna! And lastly the ambience. Yes, the clientele is Golden Girls with money, but the decor shouldn't feel like a senior citizen cruise ship.

Yumm! Although I have been to Abbracci several times now, the latest visit was for lunch yesterday. We started off with a carrot and potato soup, which was very tasty and not too heavy. I had a simple Cappellini with pink sauce for lunch and my boss had a veal marsala (I believe). We both loved our dishes! You really can't go wrong here. Sure it's pricey, but delish!

Nothing too special, sure not as advertised. Maybe it was because we went for the Miami Spice and had the fixed menu, which was pretty bland in options and taste. They had a lot of regulars, and we were pretty ignored for most of the evening. Now, if you don't care about customers coming for the Miami Spice, then you shouldn't participate in, it's not a mandatory thing. Anyway, that visit was disappointing, but we'll give it another chance.

Excellent service, I believe Abbracci easily has the best Italian food in the Gables and one of the best in South Florida. You can go there and spend less than $100/pp with no drinks and have a wonderful dinner. Highly recommended.

There are only a handful of quality restaurants in Miami. There are absolutely no Michelin rated restaurants, but if one should be chosen, it should be Café Abracci. I will admit that the quality has gone down a bit in recent years as the clientele has changed, but that is just a Miami problem. Café Abracci is run by an Italian and everything is made fresh like in Italy. You can taste the high quality in every bite. The must haves from Café Abracci: Begin your meal with the Beef Carpaccio, it will be the best one you've ever had. The Baby Sea Scallops are also superb, I always request steamed spinach with this dish. The Black Lobster Ravioli is their winning dish. If you don't like lobster then have the Gnocchi. The service at Abracci is spot on and you can have a full meal with drinks under $75. This is a great place to celebrate a birthday or an anniversary.

One of the top Italian restaurants in the Miami area...certainly the best in Coral Gables. Great menu and wine list. Service excellent. Prices on the high side. Never had a bad meal. Can be crowded. Can be semi-loud at times. Probably over pay but worth it.

I never expect to find great Italian food in Miami which is why places like Cafe Abbracci are such a pleasant surprise. We began with the calamari that was deliciously fried and breaded the perfect amount. For the main course, I went with the Tortellini Tatiana that was surprisingly sweet but delicately balanced out by the pink champagne sauce. I also had a taste of the black ravioli that was so good and much thicker than your ordinary stuffed shells. For dessert, we split the napoleon which was even too big for two people to split. But we did what we could and went on our way. The service was just ok here. While the food came out quickly, I was a bit unimpressed by the waiter's attention to our meal. We ordered a bottle of wine and he was slow to fill up the glasses and once it ran out, did not bother to ask if we wanted more. Maybe he was trying to make just one last the entire meal but I found this a bit odd. However, the portions were perfectly sized and even though I left full, I was more than satisfied. Overall, a very pleasant experience right off Miracle Mile. When looking for good pasta in the gables, I'd definitely be back.

What a lovely find! In town on business- the food was great. I had the beef carpaccio- perfectly cut but it was pre prepared in that chilled plate way. The veal dishes were exquisite with light and complementary sauces. For dessert, the pear nougat was a nice surprise - full of flavor and good texture. Old school service in a dark and gentle atmosphere. Very high end cars were parked out front. Wonder who they belonged to.

We used to dine here all the time. So when someone said lets go there again, I was excited. I was a little disappointed overall as I agree the food and service isn't like it used to be. They've updated the decor, gotten rid of the red walls since I was last there. In a way I think its lost a little character now. It had that old gentlemen's club feel with the red walls. Now it feels like it can be any restaurant, with its white walls and beautiful glass art. The service wasn't perfect, servers were reaching in front of me to get to the person next to me. Instead of going behind me and reaching between us. They also forgot to bring my second cocktail order. Others at the table felt rushed by the waiters, this type of restaurant people shouldn't feel rushed. As for the food, I agree the Caesar Salad is delicious. All four desserts we ordered were great. If only the entrees were as good. The main entrees were just ok. I had the Chicken Breast with vegetables and potatoes. The huge chicken breast was smothered in wine sauce, and what they consider "potatoes" is one thinly sliced piece of a potato. For the price there are better Italian restaurants in South Florida.

Randomly wandered into this restaurant as we were looking for dinner around 11 pm on a Saturday night. There are many high end restaurants along this strip of stores... but many are just chain restaurants. We got a table right away as it was so late. Unfortunately we weren't dressed to the 9's as many people were. I think this is a place where you want to be seen.. so I suggest putting on something nice. This place is pricey.. prepare to pay about $20+ per person before wine, appetizers, dessert, etc. The bread isn't that great... it's warm but doesn't taste that good. The meal was decent... tried the lobster black ravioli and veal. Good sized for somebody who eats average sized meals... definitely not for the big eater. Not the best Italian meal I have ever eaten.. but a fun date place. Lovely decor inside though.. definitely a great date spot. There are colored glass flowers along the wall and it's very posh.

LOVE!!! LOVE!!! LOVE!!! Been coming to this place as far back as I can remember. From the start, the owner has always been friendly and engaging. The food here is so authentic, truly similar to dishes I have had whenever I go to Italy. It is that good. My favorite is the penne arrabiata or any of their fish dishes. Quality food and a great place to dine.....

I have been a regular of this restaurant for years and it is one of this restaurants, that is not cheap...but is worth the money.I have been at some other top end restaurants that were more expensive than this one ,but not worth the money. What I like is the overall quality of the food, as well as the service...and they do that with great consistency.I would recommend highly particularly for dinners and special occasions.

I have always heard amazing things about this place but was not impressed at all. It is very old and dingy inside... no windows. It's like being stuck in a casino. The decor is old and outdated. Ugly restaurants freak me out. This one had a funeral home feel. Yuck. The food was decent. We ordered fried mozzarela, calamari, and some other unmemorable appetizer. For dinner, I ordered the black ravioli w/ lobster sauce, which was tasty but nothing spectacular. My husband had a steak w/ gnocchi, which was pretty good. The one thing that was amazing was their desserts, we ordered a wide selection since there was 6 of us. Their guava flan was amazing! Best thing we had all night. Also, the service was awesome. They are very friendly and attentive. However, due to the morbid setting and the lackluster food, I don't think we'll be returning.

By far my favorite Italian restaurant in the Gables. The staff is so accommodating - usually I order a half portion of the Lobster Ravioli and the Pear Tortellini because I love them both and cant decide between the two.

Was here today for lunch with my wife. We were last here 2 years ago. Dont know what happened to the place. The valet told me $20 to park up front. I asked the normal parking and he tells me $8 dollars when the sign clearly states $7. He then said "well..umm...yeah its seven". The waiter wasnt so happy. He gave me a horrible look when we changed from pinot G to merlot and no, he hadnt opened the pinot G yet. Its just that we couldnt decide what to eat from the limiting lunch menu. The bus boys are wearing asian inspired garb. In the bathroom there was an advertisement above the urinal announcing they were serving tacos for the super bowl game. And now the food- we both ordered the tenderlion medium. It looked like hospital food, it tasted worse. The risotto tasted like bland under cooked rice. Lunch was $124 for 2 persons.

Very good italian eatery. We are spoiled living in St. Louis. We have great italian restaurants and this would rate as above average on the hill. We had the tuna app, capresee salad, mussels, and scallops. All were very good but not great. For dinner we had the red snapper, veal milenese, and two pasta dishes and all were well prepared and tasted very good I owuld recommnend this place but not if your home city has great Italian.

Really, three stars is generous. It is unbelievable that so many people rave about this place. If you have ever actually eaten good Italian food (no, not Carrabbas or Olive Garden), you'll agree with me. Beyond that, both the menu and the decor need a serious update. As to the outdoor seating, it's the sidewalk in front, and between the exhaust fumes from the cars pulling up, and the smokers, there's little chance you'll enjoy breathing, let alone eating. Actually - I'm giving it two stars.

This place has built its popularity through the years. It's definitely a place to see and be seen, politicians, movers and shakers of the community come here. The place is a very traditional in the decoration - there are several Chihuly pieces that look nice, although not the regular Chihuly size. Of course it never fails when Nino Peretti comes to your table and says hi, just like Jen R mentioned in her review all the waiters say hi like they really know you. But in reality they don't - this might be their recipe for success!! I think it is a bit superficial but if that works for some people, go ahead. The quality of food is very good, top notch ingredients. The prices are a bit expensive. A pasta will cost you around $17.00 plus tax and service charge. They serve a house salad and the main course. Pastas are cooked AL DENTE. But in my opinion, it's still expensive to have a pasta for $20.00.

Café Abracci is a quaint Italian restaurant nestled in Coral Gables offering candlelit indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is a little dated but it's not horrible. If it's a nice night, definitely recommend sitting outdoors and enjoying a nice glass of wine with your scrumptious meal. It gets a bit loud inside on the weekends since it's a tiny place and the tables are pretty close together. Even on a busy night, I have found the service to be excellent which is hard to come by. Their menu is full of delicious and affordable specialties. Start with the portabello mushrooms with polenta and beef carpaccio as an appetizer and don't miss out on the lobster ravioli with squid ink, my personal favs. The portions are sized perfectly to save space for desert, which are all delectable!

I have been going to Cafe Abbracci for the past 20 years (my parents started taking me when I was a little girl) so I might be biased because I practically live there! It is rare that a week passes that I don't stop by for lunch or dinner! Service: Incomparable! In fairness though,as I said before, I have been going practically my whole life so they know me very well...however, they are known for their service! The staff remembers everything! Food:Their beef carpaccio is unreal! I highly highly recommend it. The entrees are all great (mushroom risottto, yum!). For dessert you can not go wrong with the berries or profiteroles and a glass of port. Two thumbs up!

The place was packed all night and still busy at 1030 even with an older crowd. The service was good, the food was good. The ambiance is a mix of age groups and people ( we were sitting next to a long table of what looked like jersey shore mixed with the mafia). The veal was a hit as well as the asparagus risotto, branzino and langostinos. You can't go wrong if you're looking for good italian food, good service and a pleasant environment.

I LOVE CAFE ABRACCI. I first visited Cafe Abracci on the recommendation of the concierge of the Mariott hotel when I was staying in Coral Gables. My parents and I were just looking for a decent Italian meal but instead we found a wonderful hidden gem in Coral Gables. I have since moved to Coral Gables, and now frequent the restaurant often. First of all, the service is wonderful. Everyone has only ever been friendly and accommodating, happy to make any changes to the menu, not that it needs any. Most importantly, however, is the food, which is PHENOMENAL. All of their pasta is fresh and handmade, and you can tell. I have tried several of the dishes over the course of my visits, and while they have all been delicious, my personal favorite is the tortellini tatiana, which is a tortellini in pink sauce stuffed with asiago and pear. It is sooo goood, one of my favorite pasta dishes I've ever eaten. I always start with the caesar salad, which is also wonderful. Again with the dessert menu, I've tried several, all have been wonderful, though again I have a favorite, which is the Zabaione with fresh berries in a caramelized bowl. Basically, to sum it up, anything you get on the menu will be awesome. Definitely check out Abracci, you won't regret it.

Don't do it unless you are a Miami lawyer wanting to be seen. The beef carpaccio came out as one piece of meat. the wine was beyond chilled and it was red. undrinkable. the service was aweful. just a blast from the past relying on old memories. Not the place to go in the gables when there are so many great restaurants like cibo wine bar or even bugatti. I say on the scale of 1-10 give it a 1

Old school, clubby Italian, but everyone is welcome. You can wear a jacket and tie if you like. Many folks do. But just as many wear jeans as well. Bring your wallet though. Is the food great? No. Is it pretty good? Yeah. Is the service great? No. Is it friendly, confident and old school? Yeah. Our waiter, for example, when asked whether the Branzino was good tonight answered as a joke, "The Branzino is a very good choice. Everything on the menu is good. But the service, hmmm .... maybe not so good ...." Abbracci is an institution, one of the few remaining in the Gables. On an early Thursday evening, it filled up fast, with three-generation families, middle-aged couples, business men ... anyone and everybody except the "young and happening" (unless, of course, they were there with Grandpa). Order the veal chop. Is it the best veal chop you have ever had? Probably not. Is it darn good? Yeah, but more importantly, how many of the new places rising in the Gables serve up a veal chop? This place has been here 30 years or so and may still be here 30 years from now. The young and happening spots will be gone next year, replaced by the latest next great thing. Take Grandpa here, or your kids and, once in a while, their kids too.

Not being one of Miami's "old movers and shakers" (although I am old, and sometimes shake when I move) I did have a wonderful evening out with friends here. It's an old world-y type place, just a little off the beaten path, and clearly does appeal to its clientele - friendly, not too-too casual, lots of regulars, and a great place to have a good meal and not worry about being too proper (I was the only other guy in shorts, however). The bar off to one side of the entrance is a stained-glass, paneled hideaway, a nice place to hang when you show up early for a pre-dinner drink. The Lychee Martini was a clear winner. I wouldn't mind coming back here as a couple for a few pops and a nice, light meal sometime. The ten of us were seated in the back with little fanfare, as most tables this night were large, family-style gatherings; lots of talking, laughing and passing of plates. Some standout appetizers: Beef Carpaccio - melts in your mouth, expertly seasoned Crab Cakes - fresh, clean - I sure loved 'em Calamari - serviceable, good but not awesome Caprese Salad - delicious On to Dinner: Veal Scaloppini "Caprese" - amazing. Cooked and seasoned just right, huge portion, and a majority favorite Grilled Colorado Lamb Chops - another big hit Tuna Steak - well liked Grilled Langoustines - looked great, tasted better We both had the Yellowtail, and it was wonderful, fresh and tasty - a good hit of salty savor with perfect texture, nicely foiled by the garlicky linguine side Presentation was clean and not too fussy or abstract Desserts. Wow: Key Lime Pie - a tiny little disk of tart tastiness, just perfect Tiramisu - good, fluffy-light chocolatey-coffee flavors; not the best we've had, but close Napoleon - a mountain of fluff and cream, pretty tasty Fruit Tart/Caramel Bowl - another awesome standout; must-have. The dry sherry made it. Service was classic old school - pleasant, attentive, invisible. Dishes came and went magically. We topped it all off with a perfectly served Cappuccino, and time to go. Yeah, it's not cheap, but worth it, and another great night out on the town.

I was born and raised in the middle of a very large Italian family with an Italian bakery/restaurant. As always, our lives revolve around food...so I can say with confidence that thisr restaurant serves excellent Italian food. The decor can be a little odd, but that's what is called "classic"; this is not a modern restaurant. The pasta is cooked "al dente" and you can choose from a variety of flavors. The last time I was there I ordered black ravioli stuffed with crab in a white sauce...OMG!!! The desserts are also really good....but I still prefer my Nonna's tiramisu... However, I still haven't found a lasagna as good as my Nonna's...and many dishes that I wish I had the time to cook. If I had to recommend a classy ad traditional Italian restaurant , it will be Cafe Abbracci

I hadn't been here for a while and quite frankly wasn't too excited about having to eat here this past Friday but I must say I was pleasantly suprised. Didn't remember how delicious this place was. i had angel hair with garlic and oil that was perfect. not too much oil and the garlic was perfectly cooked, usually with this dish it gets too bitter. my husbands red wine risotto was fantastic as was the porcini risotto. the lobster ravioli (black ravioli) is always stellar and was no different this time. i found the mango tarte tatin sloppy, with huge chunks of hardened sugar and slimy weak pieces of mango. wine selection needs to be improved, cheapest wines start at $40 a bottle, helloo??? have you heard of a $25 bottle, some people would like to have more than 3 glasses of wine with their meal ;) the restaurant needs an update inside, as one of our dining guests mentioned, the place really does look like a cruise ship dining room inside. its been 20 years guys, lets spruce the joint up a bit ok?

Ok I'm between a 3 star and 4 star, the last star is probably been due to my experiences here. My first date with my boyfriend was here, as well as our one year anniversary the other day, so thats what pushes the 4 star. My bf laughs bc when he told me he was going to bring here I told him my grandparents come here all the time. You will likely find an older crowd here. The first time I came, I was so nervous about my first date that I wasn't concentrating too much on food but I do remember having the branzino which I believe was wrapped in a paper sort of thing. It was ok and the sides were minimal so if you are hungry I would order something else. The second time around we had a tuna carpaccio for appetizer, a special, but nothing special lol and then I had the scallop and pasta special which was good and filled me up. While we were deciding on dessert (anything with ice cream usually does it for me) the waiter said he would do something special for us bc we were busy being romantic, so he brought out a neoplolitan looking thing which was like layers of pastry and cream. It was good although I would not order it. Over all it's a pretty good restaurant but I may need to try more options. One thing that is good here is the service for sure. Update: Unfortunately might not go back for now as two days after i wrote this, we broke up :(

Excellent food complimented by friendly and knowledgeable service. Great place to relax and enjoy both your meal and your company in a comfortable setting. We left last night's dinner up to our waiter, who returned with a beautiful yellowtail snapper (done francaise style with an amazing white wine sauce reminiscent of a beurre blanc) and the black risotto with shrimp. Both were outstanding. Well worth many return trips.

Boo.. I came here Wed and had the red snapper and was not happy :( I found it not to be nearly as good as their pasta. This was the first time I tried something other than the pasta and I was starving! We had the tomato mozzarella with prosciutto as an appetizer, that was good but a bit on the small side also had desert (I told you I was starving) which was the opera cake. The cake was good but again nothing really blew me away. I ended up taking the chocolate off the top layer and just eating that! Will most probably go again and try a different variety of their pasta.

Very nice atmosphere, crowded on a Monday night, well rounded wine list (lots of US wine I found interesting), volume level was very manageable for a business discussion. The food was very good: I had the scallops to start and the papperdelle with truffles.

The food is delicious, the wait staff attentive.. But, then again they should be. This restaurant is in the expensive category and LOUD category. It seems to me that when one pays an average of $100 a meal, per person, one should be able hear the people they are with. And also, keep from bumping into the table next door or someone going to the restroom. It is crowded, cramped, noisy BUT---Their food ROCKS...

this place is for you if: 1 - you like italian food 2 - you are someone important or someone who likes to think they are important 3 - a woman looking for a sugar daddy we had our office christmas lunch at abbracci - a coral gables staple - a be seen scene. literally people focus more on who is walking in and out and who they can say hi to more than on the food or their own dining companions. most diners are 50+ men (with money, or at least they appear to have money) who gawk at every woman that passes them by. the staff makes everyone feel important by greeting and hugging everyone when in reality you can tell they dont even really know each other. but the staff knows that people who like this scene like to feel important and making them feel that way, will keep them coming back. great recipe for success!! (im being serious) so we had reservations and were seated over half an hour late. we just cozied up by the bar and ordered a round. half of us never got our drinks though, they were slammed. once seated i went to take a drink of my freshly filled water glass, but i had to ask for a new one bc it smelled like "trapo sucio" (translation, dirty cleaning rag) the menu is pretty basic and pretty expensive. the salad was just ok, the dressing was light. i opted for beef tortellini with a tomato sauce, it was good, but nothing to write home about. the veal was surprisingly my favorite. and the calamari and zucchini was also very good. the profiteroles, tiramisu, and tartufo were all very delicious desserts!! overall i wont be rushing back to abbracci. im really not that important, and im definitely not interested in old men.

I can only really come here for lunch, the dinner crowd (as others have mentioned) is a little too self-important for me. In reality, lunch is probably the best time to come here--at least for someone like me who is under 45; you get to eat excellent food at a nice place, pay a little less for it, and avoid the dinner situation--although any time you go there will be people who drove over from work or home in Gables Estates just to act cool. They serve mostly Italian food with a few non-traditional on the menu. My favorite thing is actually the tuna steak, but I've ordered several pasta items that are good as well. For what it's worth, I went once with someone who loves scallops and said Abbracci's were the best they had ever had. Who knew? Either way, maybe a little bit expensive for what you get, but I guess you're not just paying for the food you're paying for the name.

Cafe Abbracci could possibly be my favorite Italian restaurant period! I have been dining here for 20 years. The veal dishes are the best ever, my favorite dish is the veal tre colore 16 oz pounded veal grilled and topped with an arugula salad. The veal Milanese is good as well but ask for the arugula salad because it normally does not come with it. Their pasta dishes are awesome great sauces, I especially like the cheese sachetti pasta in vodka sauce. If you love Italian food this is the place in Miami. Did I mention the service... just as good as the food. Nino Pernetti you are the man!

I went here for Christmas Eve dinner with dear old dad and while the food was great, this isn't exactly the place to be going if you're a 20-something yuppie like myself. This place is EXPENSIVE. The crowd is definitely older; nevertheless, this is a nice destination if you're looking for a traditional family outing to a classic Italian restaurant. It's just a block away from the main Miracle Mile strip, so the location is ideal. I could see myself coming here for a big event; a wedding, graduation or a relative's birthday. Prepare yourself for a non-traditional, high-brow Italian menu. A lot of the dishes were unfamiliar to me (I'd have to go again and try something else, for sure), but I wound up trying the roast quail with a tortellini appetizer, something I've never tried before. Decadent choice. The only way I could describe the quail is that it looks a lot like a cornish game hen -- it's a tiny little bird, but Abbracci's puts a twist on it -- they stuff the bird with ground sausage and other meat. It tastes a lot like a mini-turducken. The wine selection is quite good, but again, it's expensive. My father and I killed a bottle of Tuscan red from the Italian winery, Antinori. Which brings me to the oddity that is Abbracci's men's restroom. As someone else pointed out, they put cubed ice (by the buckets) into the urinals. Huh? I'm struggling to figure out why they do this. Dessert was quite good. A coffee served with a traditional and succulent tiramisu to die for. Let's just say I'm glad I wasn't the one who picked up the check. Come here with family or for a (paid-for) business outing. Otherwise, Cafe Abbracci is a great destination for that old-Italian feel.

I am a huge Italian Foodie. It is my favorite. So I have high expectations when I dine in a Italian Restaurant. Let me start off by saying that I was not disappointed. When we arrived the place was packed. But no problem my date knew the owner so we didn't have to wait long for our table. For appetizers we had the Baby Sea Scallops in a creamy pesto sauce and The Yellowfin Tuna Tartar with Avocado, Pear and Cucumber slices. DELISH my taste buds were tingling in anticipation for the Entree. We had the famous Black Lobster Ravioli! OMG can you say FOODGASM? Absolutely divine. We also had the Mediterranean Branzino which you either love or hate. We loved it. Then for the finale! DESSERT!!!! We had the Tiramisu which was light, airy, with just a hint of sweetness. Overall the food was perfection. The service was On Par and Gracious. Ambience was nice, a little loud actually very loud. The crowd was a mix of older and touristy with some locals thrown in. We went to the bar after dinner for a nite cap. And had one and had to leave. It was louder than the restaurant lol. I gave it 5 Stars because the food was so good. So the noise level had to take a backseat. I highly recommend!

A real Italian restaurant in the center of Coral Gables !!! From the time you enter to the time you leave you experience the Italian flavor. It had been a couple of years since we had been to Abbracci and we were definitely glad we came back! The food and service were excellent. I had the veal milanese and my wife had the penne with pancetta. Both were delicious; the portions were so generous that we each took half our dishes home. For dessert we had a yummy chocolate soufflé. The place was packed for being a Sunday night, and the service was excellent. The service made us feel like we were the only ones there. Abbracci, how we missed thee!

From one Italian, to any Yelpers out there... this place is where I go for that reminds-me-of-grandma Italian food. Simple appetizers like prosciutto and perfectly-dressed insalata mista make for the perfect intro to a perfect bowl of pasta. The Amatriciana sauce (a red sauce with an onion and pancetta base) is my personal favorite! But even if you can't find your perfect dish on the menu, Cafe Abbracci promises to make you any combination of pasta and sauce of your choice. Homestyle Italian and warm, welcoming service... this is just a feel-good kinda place.

A few years ago I came here and had the best risotto with shrimp ever. It was a large plate and normally, I can never eat all of my food in one sitting. It took me some time but I cleaned the plate. SO yummy. If I closed my eyes, it was like I was back in Italy, the smells in the restaurant, the conversation. It was great to take a walk on the beach afterwards, close to the hotel. I'm sure their menu has changed but I'm sure, too, that the food is excellent.

First, it feels like you stepped into a coffin from the 80s. The waiters are one step down from used car salesmen and the food is mediocre at best. Would never go again.

Food quality was very good, flavors were wonderful. However, service was seriously lacking. We were not told of any specials (which after hearing the server at the table next to us explain them, we would have much rather ordered the special). Our server was not attentive and pretty much took our order, served our order and we did not see him again. The second half of our dinner we had a completely different server. Was told they would do "basic italian dishes" and so I ordered a Fettucine Alfredo with chicken and was charged $23 (the veal was the same price, ridiculous). When I called, the manager told me it was supposed to be $22 because regular fettucine is $18 and adding chicken is a "big upgrade"...$5 extra??? Would not dine here again.

This is one of my best friend's favorite restaurants and I recently went with them for a group dinner celebrating her great success of her licensing exams. Anyways, this place is fantastic, the ambiance is incredible and the food is amazing. The place is great for lunch and great place for any date. I will warn you the place is a bit pricey, but it is not ridiculous when you consider that you are in Coral Gables. You must ask for the lasagna, its not on the menu, but if they made some in the back they will serve it to you and it is so fresh. They do have a full bar for those who want something a Little stronger than beer and wine. Parking is not great, but its like that for all of Coral Gables. They do valet for $8.00, but honestly there is a garage 2 blocks away for $1.00 an hour. For those who come to eat with a group be warned they will not split your check, it is against their policy, so be prepared to do some math once you get the check. Other than that the place is great and I would recommend it to everybody. Enjoy!

Really? 4.5 star overall? I'd say a bit overrated. Nice, formal atmosphere. The food on the other hand, not so fancy. You can definitely find this same kind of food presentation for half the cost at another local (casual) Italian restaurant. I was sorely disappointed by the presentation, especially when we were paying $20+ an entree. The food itself was good. I can't say there was anything special about it. We ordered the crab cake appetizer and a salmon vodka sauce pasta dish. Both orders were good, nothing special. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place if you're just craving Italian. But if you want semi-formal dining and "fancy priced" food of average quality, definitely come here.

Cafe Abbracci is one of a dwindling number of Coral Gables old-guard restaurants that's frequented by people who think they're Miami's movers and shakers. Good location, fairly innovative menu, okay atmosphere. Embarrassingly expensive, totally indifferent service, lackluster presentation. A lobster ravioli came out with a film on the surface, as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Lamb chops had a greasy patina. Fried calamari was the consistency of thin rubber bands in an admittedly tasty batter. The best dish we ordered was goat cheese in grilled radicchio, which had a softened tart edge and the consistency of hommous. If you look like a Latin-American dictator, service could be better for you than it was for me. Two stars because there's ice in the urinals (not kidding).

This is one of those places that has been around forever, has tasty food and a pretty good date night. Their raviolis and sauces are pretty finger lickin' good (though, you should refrain, the place is a bit nicer than that ;). The problem is that the gables has plenty of places that offer this so I agree with the other reviews, they need to spruce it up and offer different price points on wine.

The food here is always excellent and the service is good. It's just extremely loud, and crowded.

Best food ever! Juts must make reservations before you go or else there will be a long wait for a table.

This could have been one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. Expect phenomenal service and some of the most delicious Italian around. An expert pallet can decipher the difference between regular food and quality food and you can tell that the food here is fresh and high quality. The mozzerella caprese was probably the best I've ever had and the pastas were amazing. The sauce combinations and the garnishes were perfect.

I love this place! Beautiful wine and a great menu, with a nice ambience. Definitely a date place. I had the filet mignon and my friend had one of their pastas with a creamy pink sauce, which were both amazing. Especially the filet... wow. Still thinking about it. Can't wait to go back!

i had to agree with one of the reviewers, wow, Miami old guard restaurant. I have never been there and have known about it for years. I got there a bit early, so i took myself straight to the bar and sat down for a martini. The drink was forgettable. The decor was so old and stuffy, I thought I was at the Forge!!! I must say the service is impeccable, our waiter was superb without being cloying. The calimari was excellent and the marinara dip was scrumptious. The beef carpaccio was ok. The salads were very good, but nothing to scream over. My veal was quite good, the pasta del mare was just ok, and my friend's swordfish was delicious as well as the risotto served with it. The prices are frighteningly high, and everything, of course, is a la carte. If there were a view, or the place was beautiful, I would give it more stars, but I just do not enjoy that overstuffed, old Italian decor. There's many beautiful restaurants in Miami with as good or better food for the same price.

Still as good as ever. Fabulous food any time of day. Great service and a lovely atmostphere. It's nice to know people still take pride in being the best they can be.

VERY good. I'm in Miami for work and a friend from Fort Lauderdale takes me here for dinner. Appetizers - portabello mushrooms with polenta and beef carpaccio -- Yummy. 2nd course - porcini mushroom rissotti and black pasta lobster raviolis- DELICIOUS! Snapper with mashed potatoes and with one asparagus spear and lamb chops with fries - pretty good. The fish was good (but I'm not really a fan of mashed potatoes with fish and I would loved to of had more than one asparagus spear. The lamb chops were just ok, a bit gamey. I didn't try the fries. Great company always makes a meal even better. I might go back on a business tab, but not likely on my own. We shared everything and ate way too much. No room for dessert. Kinda casual and kinda dressy at the same time. I'm not that acustomed to Miami or Coral Gables, lots of macho guys with button down shirts unbuttoned down to mid chest or more. Lots of tables with animated conversations. Has kinda an old mafioso feel. Very attentive wait staff (except our waiter particularly, but the others were very attentive to us two women). They only had one selection of white wine by the glass - Pinot Grigio, which I'm not a complete fan of, but I got it as it was the only choice and I didn't really want red. It was good food. A good night.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
